Tour Itinerary

The 14-Day Iran Tour is form the northwest to the south and goes through the life in Tabriz, Shiraz, Yazd, Isfahan and Tehran. During the journey, you will explore former and present cultures and lifestyles of these cities. You will visit the ancient city of Pasargadae, Shiraz with its beautiful Persian gardens, the city of Yazd with its unique architecture and Zoroastrian Community. Also, Persepolis, one of the most important sites of the ancient world.
After arriving at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) in Tehran, your guide will meet and greet you; then, you will be transferred to the hotel to rest.
This morning, we will take you to a world Heritage Site, the Golestan Palace; a monument dating back to Qajar Dynasty. Then, we will have a walk around Tehran Bazaar, which is few steps far from Golestan Palace. Walking along the Bazaar route, we go to Timche Akbarian. For lunch we will go to a Dizi Sara to eat Dizi. Dizi is a special traditional Iranian Stew made by lamb, peas, onions, potato etc. Eating Dizi has a special costume. In the afternoon, you will visit National Museum of Iran, where you can see historical items from 5000 BC to the advent of Islam in Iran which demonstrates a brief history of this antique land.
After breakfast, we start our city tour in Tabriz. First we will see Kabud Mosque (1465). Next, at the Azerbaijan Museum, you’ll see a vast collection of archaeological artifacts dating back to a thousand years of human history and culture in the region. Arg-e Alishah, Grand Bazaar (the only bazaar on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites) and last of all Shah Golu (El Goli).
Today, we’ll journey to Kandovan in the highlands of Sahand Mountain, a point full of volcanos. For more than 700 years, people of this region have inhabited cave dwellings inside the mountains and unusual stone formations. Many of the people have excavated larger rooms, whitewashed and decorated with colorful carpets and textiles and have modernized their houses and lives while some live in natural cave formations. For the night we will stay in a local house.
Today we will fly to Shiraz and first of all we are going to visit Nasir-al-Mulk Mosque (Pink Mosque) which is near Vakil Bazaar. The mosque that is famous for its colorful designing and tile working. Now it is time to see Narenjestan Garden, built in the 19th century during the Qajar Dynasty. As soon as you step into this garden, you will smell an orange-scented breeze which is wandering in the air. Then, you will visit Karim Khan Citadel. Built during the Zand Dynasty and you’ll have time to explore and shop in Vakil Bazaar.
After breakfast we are we keep on exploring the city by visiting Eram Garden. Then, we will visit the Shrine of Ali Ebne Hamzeh. Our journey in Shiraz will end by a taste of poem and literature. We’re going to visit tomb of Hafez and Saadi. These two poets are among the most shining stars of Persian Literature’s sky.
You are free to spend the day at the city center, and the bazaar to shop.
On our way we will visit some of ancient masterpieces of architecture. Our first stop is the Legendary City of Persepolis, the capital of the Great Darius. One of the most impressive constructions in the ancient world; the remains of a prosperous capital, founded in 512 by Darius the Great. Then we will drive to Naqsh-e-Rustam, the Necropolis where some of Achaemenid kings are buried. Then, we will visit Pasargadae, the former capital of Cyrus the Great and his present mausoleum. Continue to Shiraz and check into the hotel.
Welcome to one of the oldest cities in Iran and the center of Zoroastrian community. The places to visit in this city: First Tower of Silence, then Zoroastrian Fire Temple where you’ll see a flame that is said to have been burning for the past 1,500 years. Amir Chakhmaq Square. There, you’ll see a very impressive Hussainiya– a congregation hall for Shia ceremonies. The next place to visit is the Friday Mosque, built in 1324, where you can see the tallest minarets in the country. The next site would be a garden called Dowlat Abad Garden with its tall and wind towers (Badgir).
Our journey continues to the small town of Meybod, the town known for its monochromic architecture and caravanserais. After a visit to this city, we’ll head for Na’in, an ancient community with origins dating back to the 8th century. We will visit the Jame Mosque of Na'in and then go to Isfahan. Continue to Isfahan and check into the hotel.
Our journey continues at the Harun-e Velayat Shrine. Built in 1512, the shrine’s dome offers a particularly fine example of Iranian tile work. Gazing up at the graceful 11th-century Ali Minaret, the oldest in Isfahan, offers further insight into the skill of Iranian architects and builders. Our next stop will be Armenian quarter where we’re going to visit some churches including the magnificent Vank Cathedral. At last we’ll see some of Isfahan’s old bridges: Shahrestan, Khaju and Sio-se-pol Bridges.
Today we’re going to visit some World Heritage Sites: First of all Jame Mosque, after that an exploration through Naghshe Jahan square including the monuments inside: Jame Abbasi Mosque, Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and Qeisarieh Bazaar. Next up is Chehel Sotun Palace, a graceful pavilion was built by Shah Abbas II for entertainment and court receptions. Then we’ll see the great bazaar.
We leave Isfahan for a village called Abyaneh; the village known for its red soil and unique architecture of the houses. Then, we will visit Kashan, a town originally famous for its textiles and ceramic production, but now better known for Fin Garden and its extensive bazaar and hamams (Baths). Then, you will visit Boroujerdi Traditional House. Afterwards, we will visit the bazaar area, a widespread complex filled with hamams and mosques; one hamam has been converted to a traditional teahouse where we will stop for those who need a break from shopping. Then, we will drive to Tehran.
Our representative will transfer you to Imam Khomeini International Airport according to your flight time.

There is no additional cancellation fee in Touriar. You can cancel the tour up to 30 days prior to the departure date and you will not need to pay the full price of the tour, but the deposit of 20% is non-refundable. If you cancel via Touriar, the standard cancellation policy applies.
