Tour Itinerary

Iran, land of untold stories; a country that has kept tons of dazzling attractions in his heart. The monuments that are still unknown to many people around the world. One of these attractions is Iran's handicrafts that are among the world's finest handmade stuff. Not only these handicrafts are amazing but also we can find a vast diversity of them in here, from huge and rigid metal works to the most delicate weaving and wood working. This trip is the best for those who want to get familiar with history of Iran and its handicrafts because there is this possibility to practice these arts in a workshop with a master's instructions. Moreover, we will visit the best monuments of the cities such as Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Kashan, etc. And also for the best example of each artwork, we will go to its capital; for calligraphy, Qazvin, for pottery, Hamedan, for carpet weaving, Kashan, etc. In each workshop you will feel the atmosphere of each handicraft.
Arrival in Tehran. You will meet the guide at the airport and he will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. After a short rest, you go for lunch and then you will visit Iran National Museum to get a little familiar the antiquity of this land and after that, gorgeous Golsetan Palace. overnight at the hotel, Tehran.
In the morning we drive towards Qazvin. First we will visit Ali Qapu Palace and then we go for lunch. In the afternoon we will sit next to a calligraphist master in a calligraphy gallery to see how he/she creates a masterpiece with some lifeless ink and a simple reed. Overnight in Hotel, Qazvin.
We say goodbye to Qazvin to drive towards Hamedan. First we visit the Mausoleum of Baba Taher, the 11th century persian poet and then the mausoleum of Avicenna, the 11th century Persian polymath. After lunch we drive toward the capital of Persian Pottery, a small town called Lalejin (27 km). In a workshop, you can feel the scent of pottery, this magic of soil, water and fire whose history dates back to nearly 9 thousand years! Get your fingers ready to stroke some soil, maybe you can also create a masterpiece. After doing the pottery, we go back to Hamedan for the night. Overnight in hotel, Hamedan.
Early in the morning, we set off to Malayer, Iran's capital of woodcarving (Monabbat Kari in Persian). We go straightly to the master's workshop to see how he can make the designs dance on wood by delicately carving them. After that, we will have lunch and drive towards Kashan. Visit Sultan Ahmad Bath if there is time. overnight, hotel in Kashan.
Kashan is one of Iran's capitals of carpet. Carpet weaving is one of theoldest and the most wellknown handicraft of Iran and Iranian carpets are exported to many countries around the world. In the morning, we will go to Agha Bozrg Mosque, Tabatabaeiha House and World Heritage List monument, Fin Garden. After lunch, we have planned to visit a carpet weaving workshop to see how Iranian weavers have blown the spirit of the paradise to carpets just by ties and threads. In the workshop you will sit behind a weaving frame and start to weave. In the afternoon we will drive towards Isfahan. Overnight in hotel, Isfahan.
Isfahan, the gem of Iran's cities as the tourists in 16th and 17th century called the "Half of the World" due to its beauty and gorgeousness. We dedicate the morning to visiting Chehelsotun Palace, Naghshe Jahan Square, Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah and Imam Mosques (all UNESCO WHL). After that, we head to a workshop of engraving on metals (Qalamzani in Persian). There, you would know why Isfahan is called the capital of art. Your guide will tell you about the handicrafts and arts of Isfahan and in the bazaar he explains about "Firooze Kari". Overnight in hotel, Isfahan.
For the second day in Isfahan, we have planned to visit two other WHL sites. First we go to Atiq Jame Mosque, also known as the museum of Persian architecture because each part of the mosque or the decorations belong to a different era and dynasty. The next stop is the Armenian Neighborhood to visit the mixture of Persian, Islamic and Christian architecture. After lunch we will visit Khaju and 33- Pol Bridge and then drive to Yazd. overnight in hotel, Yazd.
Yazd is the best example of man's harmony with nature. In Yazd, you will see many Adobe towers with groves whose function is to catch the air, bring it inside houses and cool the air naturally. These constructions are called Badgir that means wind catcher. In this gorgeous city, we are gonig to spend a day and visit Amir Chakhmaq Complex, Jame Mosque, Water Museum and Fahadan Neighborhood. Then we will head to a workshop of weaving a specia and precious kind of cloth which is called Termeh. We will see how the craftsman delicately weaves each piece according to the plan, the plan that is also his job. Overnight hotel, Yazd.
In the morning we drive from Yazd to the beautiful city of Shiraz. At first, we will visit the tomb and the complex of Pasargad that belong to Cyrus the great, the founder of Achamenid Empire. We carry on driving to arrive at Shiraz. Hotel Check-in. After a short rest we are going to visit the mausoleums of Hafez and Saadi; two of the most famous poets who are among the shiniest stars of the Persian Literature's sky. Overnight in hotel, Shiraz.
We start our day visiting the world of colors, Nasir ol Molk Mosque. Then, Vakil Complex that includes a bath (Hammam), a mosque and a bazaar. Our next stop would be Narenjestan Ghavam; a gorgeous house dating back to Qajar period. Now, It's time to know about "Khatam Kari". It is a kind of marquetry which is mostly performed with colorful pieces of wood. Shirazian craftsmen do this handicraft in the best way. Overnight in Shiraz, hotel.
Today, we head to one of the most important sites of the ancient world, magnificent Persepolis whose glory is still recognizable through these remaining stones. The Greek historian, Herdotus has a famous saying about Persepolis and calls it "the richest city under the sun". From Persepolis we drive to the the burial place of achamenid monarchs, an ancient monument called "Naghshe Rostam". We get back to Shiraz. After lunch, we are going to see another Persian garden inscribed in UNESCO list, called Eram Garden; a pleasant garden with a nice pavilion in the middle. Delgosha Garden in our next place to visit. After that you have time to go to the bazaar, to know more about the handicrafts of Shriaz and buying souvenirs. Overnight in Shiraz, hotel.
You will be transferred to the Shiraz airpot to fly back home. Farewell.
